It is with great sadness that the Freedom Park Trust mourns the passing of one of its prominent role-players, Professor Harriet Ngubane.

On National Heritage Day, 24 September 2007, the cleansing and healing ceremony hosted by the Freedom Park Trust in Morogoro, Tanzania, for South Africans who died in Tanzania during the Liberation Struggle, culminates with the spirits of the fallen South Africans being symbolically laid to rest at Isivivane at The Freedom Park.

On 23 and 24 September 2007, the Freedom Park Trust, in partnership with Iziko Slave Lodge and Robben Island, will host a heritage trail in Cape Town entitled 'Walk to Freedom'.

At a ceremony hosted at The Freedom Park, COSATU commemorates the 20th anniversary of the 1987 bombing of COSATU House.

To celebrate the South African Human Rights Day, The Freedom Park and iIKSSA Trust host The Human Rights and Indigenous Knowledge System Conference at the Sammy Marks Convention Centre in Pretoria.
