Hypocrisy
6 months, 2 weeks ago

One has to love the cynical hypocrisy of naming something 'Freedom park' which includes the names of Fidel Castro - a monster who has enslaved an entire nation since 1949, as well as including names of Cuban conscripts who HAD NO CHOICE but to fight in his Soviet funded wars of aggression in Africa.
Compounding that, you add the name of Che Guevera, a sociopathic hitman working for Castro.
The current ANC governemnt which funded this monstrosity is comprised of thugs, embezzlers, rapists and criminals.

Fidel Castro and Che Guevara supported our freedom against oppression and subjugation it is not suprising when those who were beneficiaries of apartheid, the very system which both Fidel and Che stood for object.

I am more than happy to have CHE Guevera and Fidel Castro as names at the Freedom Park because these gentlemen have done more for the freedom of Africa. Cuban soldiers and CHE fought side by side with all liberation movements until in Angola to ensure that we have the Freedom Park. Your insult on the ANC, CHE Guevera and Fidel Castro must be sour grapes that the made our freedom possible whilst you wanted us to forever be a whiteman's slave. We free at last and we will forever change the names our streets, towns and monuments from those of slave masters to those of the people heroes like the same gentleman you despise. Your better get use to it or go to Australia. You can try Canada if you white and claim that blacks are targeting you for assault and rape as that is what your think we are good at.

Dear All,

I think we need to respect other peoples views, as much as they may be uninformed and illinformed. It would be a big and dangerous mistake if we leave the views expressed by Brad Morris unattended and again we would be making a mistake to assume that Brad is a White South African. To me it sounds like Brad represents a view which could be shared by many in his circle of friends and as a result he is the brave one to voice it.

My response to Brad&Company:

It will take a summary of almost 15 to 20 pages to educate you about the history of the black man's liberation struggle, and perhaps 50 to 101 pages to educate you and your circle of friends about the history of the the brown skin some of us wear "proudly so" day in and day out. Being that as it may, allow me the freedom to try and summarize. Brad you sound like a concerned person, who is primarily concern about:

1. Enslavement of people,

2. The role of Hitman and sociophathic activities,

3. Crime and corruption.

4. Names of institutions.

Brad, i think it is correct to worry about the afore memtioned. However, what is wrong is to assign name tags to your concerns for which i doubdt very much that the accusations and claims you make about Honourable Che, and Fidel can be backedup by facts. Incase you do have, surely it would be very helpfull of you to avail such information to legal authoritise. Particulary information relating to the number of people Che killed as a hitman, names and addresses also will be helpful. Im sure there is a legal way Che could be charged in his absence. this will further assist for the victims to be compensated. As for the issue of enslavement, it will be very helpful if you can produce evidence to the international human rights institutions regarding the slaves in Cuba (names also in this regard will be helpful and if you have photos also produce them).

Im sure that Freedom Park Trust will be more than welcoming if you probarbly have a better name to suggest that will capture what they want to achieve as an institution.

The South African government, our government, would be more than happy if you were to produce names of the people in the ANC whom you accuse of being thugs, rapists (maybe in this case you may also need to provide the names of the victims) embezzlers, and criminals and evidance of the aforementioned im sure would be highly appreciated. because should you have such information and evidence of slave masters, hitman, thugs, rapists, criminals and embezzlers and not produce it to the authoritise, in my little knowledge of law, that makes you AN ACCOMPLICE. And as a result you are not any different from the people you are accussing. NOW, Who is the hypocrit?

While there has been a launch of new activities in the Freedom Park on the 16th June 2010, I would advice you Brad Morris to revisit the Freedom Park and Learn much about the rich History that South Africa had and has. While at it read further about the Leaders such as Thambo Mbeki and Che Guevara. While I wish I could have a session with you and discuss these issues further, i would just recomend that when you have expresed what you want because you have a platform to express such views due to teh fact that we live in a democratic society that had been shaped by the very people you are shaming. It is a disgrace to hear such thoughts that you have expressed in a public domain like this but we are kind enough and willing to engage with you so that one day you may realise the realities of this world. That Che even fought for yoru very Freedom of expression.

We have a long way to go and it would be another disgrace to leave you behind. So I urge you to join the wagon of change and accept certain truths. Read much and in your reading do not already choose sides but look at both sides. I want to remind you of a saying that goes " Until Lions write their own History..The tales of hunting would always favour the Hunter" Its Africa time to rewrite the Real History and Brad please witness it and be part of it before it is too late.

A true revolutionary is guided by strong feelings of Love...We Love you and at some point that should be reciprocical. We hate yo
ur tendencies and we know that you wil be educated to embrace the new real rewritten History someday...

Remember the days of Slavery, History can recall that...in the very History we were blessed to have cadres such as Che Fidel Thabo Nelson Jacob Julius Nkwame Haile and Civilizations such as Monomutapa, the Great Zimbabwe and Mapungubwe. In our efforts to take all on board towards the Rebirth of Africa. Be sure that you and the people you represent are not left behind. Do not influence the children to be like you. Tell them the truth...

Just to expand on Brad's point about Castro and Che; I think he's referring to the fact that as much as they may have fought for your - The African (brown skinned) people's - freedom, they fought for a political ideology. Communism. Which was directly opposed to capitalism which was, and probably still is, linked to the white man's power.

Don't ever forget that they ALSO had political motives

And before you ask me to list names and addresses and such childish things please go read up about Castro and Co. yourselves.

Freedom park (and our democratic country) are supposed to be for all Black, white, yellow and whatever else you'd like to list. That said I don't see any "white" freedom fighters' names listed, why is that? To me it sounds like you all still have racist tendencies, no matter how you sugar-coat it!

Anyway, to be realistic, this is a conversation/argument/debate that will rage on for many years to come - So we better try and get along a best we can until we learn to be truly tolerant of each others race/culture/belief systems.

dear Sebastian,

like many, Im sure you operate on autopilot. It is regretful that you have misunderstood the point and as a result you singled out words that would support your point of view. There is nothing wrong in doing that by the way, only if the chosen words give a progressive view.

All im saying is what the Chiluba people would echo in the following word " maga a n'chima a muempe, muwembe mukana (claws of a monkey are only good in your mouth".
