Freedom Park Donates Blankets to Tembisa Child Welfare

In a heartwarming gesture of community support, Freedom Park has donated blankets to Tembisa Child Welfare, a non-profit organization that has been a cornerstone of hope and care for vulnerable children in the Tembisa community for 38 years.

Tembisa Child Welfare currently houses 74 children of various ages, providing them with shelter, care, and educational opportunities. The organization is committed to ensuring that every child receives a comprehensive education, from attending their Early Childhood Development Center to tertiary education where possible. This dedication is supported by grants from the Department of Social Development and donations from compassionate individuals and organizations.

In addition to their day-to-day operations, Tembisa Child Welfare hosts an annual gala dinner to raise funds. The event invites companies, organizations, and individuals to contribute by purchasing a seat at the table, further supporting the organization’s mission.

“It is challenging, but we strive to be a center of excellence through the various programs we offer,” said Ms. Lindi Molefe, a Social Worker at Tembisa Child Welfare.

Speaking on behalf of Freedom Park CEO, Client Relations Officer Ms. Tesh Tshivhase emphasized the importance of community engagement, saying, “Community development is one of Freedom Park’s pillars. I urge everyone to support organizations such as Tembisa Child Welfare. Their work is essential in shaping the future of our communities.”

Freedom Park remains committed to fostering social cohesion and supporting initiatives that uplift vulnerable members of society.
