Freedom Park Mourns the Loss of Mr. Patrick “Blah” Ricketts

Freedom Park mourns the loss of Patrick “Blah’ Ricketts, an ex-MK soldier who had repatriated the remains of MK soldiers from many SADC countries.

Freedom Park had an intimate relationship with Mr Ricketts and the Missing Persons Task Team. A fearless individual who stood for the truth, the nation has lost a phenomenal stalwart, and we at Freedom Park were honoured to have had him in our midst. We will remember how he continued to serve his county and was the epitome of wisdom, integrity, morality, and selflessness. Freedom Park pays tribute to this gentle and legendary struggle hero. Freedom Park celebrates the indelible mark that our struggle heroes and heroines have made and continue to make in our country. We will continue to acknowledge the sacrifices of our heroes and heroines in the struggle that shaped our freedom.

On behalf of the CEO, Council, Management and Staff of Freedom Park our deepest condolences to his family and friends. May the Almighty grant them the strength to bear this irreparable loss with courage and fortitude. He will always be a source of inspiration to all South Africans.
