Unisa Press and Freedom Park announce the publication and launch of the social memory as a force for social and economic transformation title.

Edited by Professor Muxe Nkondo, Council Member of UNISA, the title focuses on social memory, in particular the conflict between the legacies of colonialism and the movement for fundamental change. Social memory provides a nuanced discourse of where we are as a nation, and how we move forward to achieve meaningful transformation.

The content aims to provoke thought from experts in politics, scholars and the general populace with a focus on social, economic and political dynamics of modern history. Armed with contributors who provide unique perspectives and reflections on history, politics, economics, culture, education, ethics and the arts, as well as the links that bind these aspects into an ecology of ideas and attitudes.
