Operational Schedule:
- Our visiting hours are 08:00 – 19:00, Monday to Sunday. (Our ticketing office closes at 16:30)
- We offer scheduled guided tours at 09:00, 12:00, 15:00 and 17:00 (Booking is essential for evening tours)
- You have the option of doing a self-guided tour where a map of the Freedom Park will be provided to you at the Frontline desk on arrival.
- A full guided tour takes approximately 1 hour at each element. (//hapo and Garden of Remembrance)
- Maximum of 10 people per guided Tour
- A full experience of Freedom Park can take approximately 3 hours.
- We offer school Educational Programs based on curriculum and/or topics provided by school.
- Customized tour routes and duration may be discussed with the Tourist Guide or Educational Officer and can be adjusted accordingly.

- The garden of remembrance tours isare conducted outdoors; we recommend that you dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes as the tour involves walking up and down of a steep terrain.
- Temperature of all visitors taken upon arrival and on guided tours.
- Please be patient with our office assistance as we will have increased cleaning and disinfection of spaces and frequently-touched surfaces. This is conducted multiple times every day.
- Please be patient and cooperative with our security personal
- A Mask must be worn AT ALL TIMES!
- A distance of 1.5m must be maintained at ALL TIMES!
- Make provision for sun protection; we recommend sun block, hats, sun glasses or umbrellas.
- Our Gift Shop is open for visitors to purchase Freedom Park merchandise.
- The restaurant is open with strict social distancing protocols. Offering meals, refreshments and snacks.

- The consumption of alcoholic beverages on site during tours and/or educational programs is strictly prohibited. No exceptions are made.
- Smoking is allowed only at designated areas around the Park.
- For every 25 learners a single educator is allowed free entry.
- For every 5 family members a single free entry is allowed.
- An STO rate of 15% will be applied to Tour Operators bringing visitors to Freedom Park – Registered on the Freedom Park Database
- A further 20% rate will be applied to all Tour operators’/booking agencies/travel agents who bring an average of 1000 visitors per month or at least a minimum of 50 visitors per day.
- A maximum 25% rate will be applied to all tour operators/booking agencies/travel agents who bring an average of 2000 visitors per month or at least a minimum of 100 visitors per day.
- All registered Tourist Guides with a badge on and/or a valid operational card receive free entry.
- Teachers are to assist with the managing of learners during a tour.
- If you are late for your tour appointment, you may be required to do a self-guided tour.
- Kindly note due to cancellations and delays, there is no refund for all paid tours, however a re-entry complimentary may be considered for dissatisfaction.
