Resistance: From 1976 to Now”, an intergenerational digital dialogue commemorating the historic
1976 Soweto Uprising while spotlighting the activism of today’s youth.

This powerful engagement will reflect on the enduring legacy of June 16, 1976, and explore the current
challenges confronting young people, from economic exclusion and mental health to climate justice
and gender-based violence. The session aims to foster historical awareness, civic consciousness,
and youth empowerment.
